Repair Process & Technology

What is Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)?

PDR is a precise craft that uses custom-engineered hand tools and LED reflection lights to gently manipulate dented metal back to its original shape from behind the panel. There is no grinding, no body filler, and no repainting required.

How long does the repair process take?

Your initial inspection takes about 30 minutes. Once approved, most hail repairs are completed within 2 to 7 days, depending on dent severity and panel disassembly required. We provide a firm completion date at the time of inspection so you can plan ahead.

Will PDR work on my vehicle? How do you know?

As long as your factory paint hasn't cracked and the metal isn't stretched beyond repair, PDR works on almost every vehicle. During your 30-minute inspection, we evaluate your panels using high-intensity lights and paint-depth gauges. Over 90% to 100% of hail-damaged vehicles can be fully restored with PDR alone. If a panel truly requires conventional body shop paintwork, we'll tell you upfront.

Do you have to repaint or use body filler? Does it preserve factory paint?

Never for PDR-eligible dents. Because we don't disturb your original finish, your factory paint warranty stays 100% intact, your Carfax stays clean of body shop paint records, and your vehicle retains its maximum resale value.

Insurance & Costs

Do you work directly with my insurance company?

Yes. We handle the paperwork, submit photo documentation, and use PDR-specific invoicing that adjusters require. We offer direct billing to your insurer and automatically process any insurance supplements if hidden damage is discovered during teardown.

Will my insurance premium go up? Is hail damage covered?

Hail damage falls under your comprehensive coverage, not collision. In Ontario, comprehensive claims are considered an "act of nature" (like theft or fallen branches) and typically do not increase your insurance rates. Your policy covers the repair minus your deductible. We work directly with all major Canadian insurers—including Aviva, Intact, Desjardins, Chubb, Travelers, Allstate, and Economical—and document everything to ensure a smooth, hassle-free approval.
